Whoever looks at this blog, you may notice the title looks a little different this time. Well, this is a different post, this is a post where I share with you why I fell in love with this little store in San Diego, and why I purchase from it at least a week. Paper Tales is a craft store in Point Loma, San Diego. I found it from a Facebook group called San Diego Planner Addicts. Someone had posted a list of all the stationary stores in San Diego. I knew of a few of them, but this was one that I never knew about.

There was an event where Paper Tales had a birthday and invited all it's customers to come decorate and have a day of celebration! There was a "make and take" craft project, but there were also some copic markers out for us to play with. This was my first time using copic markers, and I liked how they made my unicorn look.

Paper Tales has such a dreamy interior. Most of the employees that work at the store, help provide cute hand made items for sale. Some of my favorites include felt cactus paper clips, unicorn "glitter" in a glass bottle, cute hello kitty pins that were for the birthday celebration, and the traveler notebook journals that I've bought a lot of so far for my standard traveler's fauxdori.

Lots of more posts about what I buy from this store to come.

A few posts back I had mentioned the kitschy paper I had found at Beverly's. I had turned some of the paper into dividers and this is how it came out. In the pockets are the images I had used to make magnets.

While my parents were on vacation, and I had requested 3 days off in a row, I took that time to really sit down and go through all my planner supplies. I am such a paper hoarder, especially now, thanks to Paper Tales (which will have it's own post). I'm constantly buying paper and saving it. About two months ago, I came across this paper from a craft store called Beverly's Fabrics. They have a small scrapbooking section, which includes some double sided paper! I saw this print, and was instantly ready to purchase. I had originally bought it to make dividers for my planner, and then I had an idea for the left overs.

There is a sheet of project life style sizes and I used that to cut out and laminate into magnets. I call them my "retro girls". They make me think of women in the 50's, that were stay at home moms. I was instantly reminded of a collection the Reset Girl has on her website as well. I was wanting to include a magnet in with the dividers I sell, but lately, no sales!!

My three planners I currently use are the ballet pink Kate Spade zip planner, a baby blue fauxdori planner cover that I previously posted about, and a passport size dori I bought from Warwicks in La Jolla. I usually don't use passport, but I received some pretty floral dashboards I want to use. I'm going to print some printables soon for it. The greatest, for me, part about passport size is how easy it is to make accessories. I use a normal stapler, so the smaller the product, the easier for me.

I started to obsess over It'sPaperDear items about 2 months back. I had fallen in love with the traveler notebook covers, and the little doodles that were attached. Back in December there was a Santa Claus dori. Zie has the greatest illustrations, and I'm constantly watching her stories on Instagram. Her username is: @ziedarling and for shopping it's @itspaperdear

I had gotten my cover during a FLASH sale she was having before putting her shop on "vacation" mode. She was having a microdori that I was kind of lusting over, but I was too slow on that, so I quickly grabbed the pocket size faux leather one that was available. I'M IN LOVE!!! It's so pretty, and the color is amazing. The inside has floral fabric, and doily lace pockets. There's a pretty pen holder as well! This purchase was one I did not feel guilty about.
